This small study was painted directly on the canvas without drawing or underpainting. My goal was to capture the morning light and hazy silhouettes of the buildings in gradations of intensity from the horizon ...in other words, light in the back to dark in the front. $300.00

Mississippi Dawn
Original Acrylic Painting on panel 18x24 I love the nostalgic feel of this painting. The majestic riverboat in the morning mist was loosely based on the paddlewheeler in the movie musical, Showboat. Makes me want to hum "Old Man River". NFS (artists' collection)
